At some point while we were in the hotel, we realized we were ending our stay the night we closed on the house and the day before the van arrived. We decided to go with it and have a sleep over the first night. So we all slept in sleeping bags on the floor in our room. It felt like a really nice way to break in the house.
Our move happened so quickly that at times it didn't feel real. Maybe that would have happened anyway, it's hard to say. I remember pulling up after dropping the girls at school, and finding it so odd to see our moving van. It seemed so strange on Cassie Lane but then to have it pull up in this new place it was almost more familiar then the house we were about to move into.
One of the early things I appreciated in our new space was the big skies. We see beautiful sunsets and saw tons of migrating birds through the fall.
