Cape Cod 2014

Our annual Cape Cod trip was in July this year.  This was our second year in Eastham and the house was worthy of (hopefully) a return next year.  The pictures are a combination of my pictures and my mom's pictures.

What's not to love about a hammock in the back yard.
Being goofy in the hammock soon lead to...

a little spill.
Our first night at Campground Beach.

I'm not sure if Evan remembers being at the beach last year.  But his delight and wonder on our first night suggests it was an all new experience for him.

Sweet

and sassy

An attempt to get a picture of them together.  This picture captured the brief moment that Evan sat still.

Aly says, "oh, evan"

Coast Guard beach has become our favorite beach.  It's a beautiful beach with strong waves at high tide.  And then at low tide there's a large sand bar with tide pools perfect for playing.

Still loves beach dancing

Backyard fun

We enjoyed sunset on the beach waiting for the Orleans fireworks
Aly and Granddad playing the game "Pink Stink"

All three girls really enjoyed the boogie boards this year

Family style

We tried several times for a cousins picture.  It's really challenging to get four kids smiling at the same time!

Our beach compound minus the beach toy sprawl

I love these different perspectives.  Below is the picture I was taking at almost the same time.

The kids did a lot of rock collecting and studying

On our way to the Truro Lighthouse

The sunlight is often an issue for blue-eyed Addy.

Evan does have moments of rest
We went back to see the seals at low tide in the northern part of the National Seashore.  Everyone made it there and back on their own power this year!
Cresting the dune

A small group of seals on the way

A hug break

Again this year, there were hundreds of seals hanging out on the sand bar.  It's really cool just to sit and listen to the collective sound they make.

Watching and listening to the seals.  I'm taking the picture below

Letting some crazies out after 30-40 posed pictures

It's a walking chair

We went to the Chatham Fishing Pier to watch the the fishermen bring in their daily catch

Cape Dogfish Shark.  The week after we were at the Cape, we received dogfish from our CSF.  We weren't big fans.
